Andy Zoo Field Trip

Spring Break 2015

We don't typically go anywhere for Spring Break - but this year, we decided to do something. We wanted to drive and somewhere not too terribly far. So we decided to go to El Paso & NM. David wanted to show the boys all the places from his childhood, plus we wanted to visit his mom & dad's grave sites at Ft. Bliss.

Today, my sweet boy, you are 8 years old. I can't even believe the time has gone so fast. You are a complete joy to your dad, brothers & I. We are so thankful for you and your kind heart.

Here's a few things about you at this stage.

Happy Birthday Party Andy!

Andy really wanted to have a bounce house for his birthday, but since we are soon putting in a pool, our time was limited. I talked to the builder and he said April 18 would be the best, safest day. Andy wanted to invite his whole class. He loves his friends and just wanted to share his day with them. So, he invited about 35 kids. 21 from his class, and the rest from the neighborhood. We had about 25 show up. I was totally stressed about having so many kids and parents at the house at once, but it worked out. It was a great day!

We had some bounce house drama when the person I had booked didn't show up. But I got online and found someone else (Bouncin Outta Sight) that saved the day and brought us an even better bounce house. 

We had 2 Xboxes set up with minecraft on it. So 8 kids were able to play minecraft, then we had the pool table (which was a big hit) and then the bounce house. It kept all the kids rotating, and they all seemed to have a great time.

Andy was happy & thankful to have all his friends here.

Movie Date with Andy & Will

Andy saw a trailer for a movie, while we were at the movies watching another movie, that he was dying to see. The movie was LITTLE BOY. He waited 4 months for this movie to come out. It's about a little boy who has super powers b/c he believes and has the faith of a mustard seed. He has to go through a list of things first to prove his faith. There are some parts of the movie that are very touching and were tough for my sweet, sensitive Andy. He cried A LOT. But at the end, he said it was the best movie he had seen. Will, Andy & I had a nice time. And I'm so glad Andy finally got to see the movie he's been so excited about.
